How many news do you see in one day? Maybe you will see more than 10
different news at least. There are many issues in the world and new events
occur every second. Countries announce new policies, new researches or studies are
presented and many people do various activities in all over the world. And I
can get new information and I can have various points of view from seeing news.
So, I introduce 3 articles which articles give me new viewpoint. One is “Jamaica
government announces major changes to drug laws” which article gives me a new
viewpoint of drug. Second is “Electric Buses in Switzerland Flash Charge in 15
Seconds”, I can get new engineering idea to study. Last article is “Two British
people killed while on Jeep safari in Turkey”, it makes me rethink about my Turkey
trip.
First article is “Jamaica government announces major changes to drug
laws” in Lee Han Eol’s blog project 1. According to this article, Jamaica reforms
their drug law and they allow some drugs for Jamaican economy. And classmate Lee
Han Eol agrees with that law. He thinks drug can be used by medical treatment
and drug industry can give earning to Jamaican if they are not abused. It seems
nice. But I think drug industry is vice in society. It spoils people slowly but
consistently and finally many Jamaican abuse it. And it can help Jamaican
economy but national imagine of Jamaica will be damaged as drug country. So, I
disagree with Jamaica government’s new drug law.
Second article is “Electric Buses in Switzerland Flash Charge in 15
Seconds” in Lee Hui Gwan’s blog project 2. According to this article, Switzerland
new electric buses will appear and these buses are lots of advantage. They can
be charged in 15 seconds and they do not make any harmful carbon or noise. And
classmate Lee Hui Gwan admires for that amazing machines. He thinks this new
technology can make efficient vehicle and its most valuable points is it can protect
environment. And I have same idea with Hui Gwan. Electric buses will be useful
and beneficial in Switzerland and this technology can be exported to other country.
Not only it has many advantage in own country at resources or environment, but
also it has economically advantage when it is exported. So, I want to develop
new engineering technology like this bus as an engineering student.
Last article is “Two British people killed while on Jeep safari in
Turkey” in Kim Hyo Jin’s blog project 1. According to this article, there was a
Jeep Safari crash in Turkey and two British people were died and moreover it wasn’t
the first time. Classmate Kim Hyo Jin thinks safety is most important thing but
Jeep Safari can cause accident. And I think Jeep Safari is dangerous, too, because
I experienced Jeep Safari in person in Turkey. I traveled Turkey January 2014,
and I remember Jeep Safari is one of the impressive activities. We drove Jeep
in off road and it rattled severely while on driving. It seemed hard to change
the direction and we can’t see the front because of gritty dust. It is no
wonder that get into car accident anytime. So, if someone experience Jeep
Safari, they have to take care of safety accidents.
Like
this, there are various news in the world. Some countries revise their law like
Jamaica change their drug law. New technology is developed like Switzerland’s
new electric buses. And many accidents occur in everywhere like Jeep Safari
accident in Turkey. Those news can be relative to my viewpoint. So, we have to
be more concerned about global news.
